Dining
Esterillos Oeste
(West)
Low Tide Lounge - Infamous for their full moon
parties, Low Tide Lounge is a fun surfers bar serving great food & drink. Right on the beach, locals
and travelers alike frequent the bar all day long but especially when the tide is low because when the tide is high
everyone is surfing. Wireless internet is available.
The Reef - Right next door to the Low Tide Lounge,
this bar also serves great food and drink and is a local hang out for locals and travelers. Both of these
bars get together to hold fund raisers for the local community from lifeguard fundraisers to local school
fundraisers and will usually bring in a local band to play.
Azul - 200 meters from the beach, Azul serves
great typical Tico food with plenty of space for your family and friends. Adjacent to the restaurant is
Azul the nightclub. This is a very popular spot for the locals to let loose on the weekends. Before you
drive away don't forget to stop by Super Sol to pick up some grocery's before you go
home.
Los Almendros (The Almond Tree) - The Almond
Tree serves the best cuisine in Esterillos Oeste at a great price. You will see dishes such as
Carribean Chicken, Seared Tuna and Lobster. Don't forget to ask for Karen's special hot sauce.
Esterillos Este
(East)
Xandari - A bit pricy but what all North Americans
are used to, great service and excellent food! We frequent the joint on special occasions such as our
anniversary or birthday's.

Hermosa
Backyard
- Located next to the hotel on the beach in Playa Hermosa, The Backyard offers
you an amazing open air dining experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on our oceanfront terrace
from 8 a.m. til 10 p.m. daily.
Surf Inn Hermosa
- Killer waves, Killer grub & Killer Accomidations. Beach front hotel in Hermosa offers a 3rd story
roof top cafe serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (All Natural Food). Wi-Fi is available throughout, Cozy
Rooms, and beach front access to one of the worlds most visited and popular surf breaks in the world. Tell
Christina that Sean & Krista from Apartamentos Iguanas sent you.
Jaco
Lemon Zest - Our
favorite restaurant to visit is Lemon Zest! They offer the best international cuisine in Jaco at a
great price. They are a family owned restaurant. Mr. Lemon is in the Kitchen serving gourmet dishes
while Mother and Son serve the house. Bring your memory and don't bother looking at the menu because the
server will tell you a dozen different specials off the tip of his tougue. Oh, I almost forgot, they have
the best blackberry mojito's I've ever had.
Tsunami Sushi - This
place rocks if you like sushi. If I could afford it I would eat there every other night (on the nights I
don't eat at Lemon Zest). You'll get the freshest sushi straight off the boat made by the best
sushi chefs around.
